Self defence
has never been more important than it is in current times.

It isn't about being
fearful, it's just about being sensible and safe. KB
Self Defence teaches the following weekly class:
Thursday 8pm at the American Church in Tott Ct Rd. (Goodge
St Tube).
We try and
avoid dangerous situations, we try to keep safe on the roads
etc. but what if you're being attacked and you need to
protect yourself; would you know what to do?
You need
training that is easy to learn but won't be easily
forgotten. You need to train yourself to fight back when
necessary. It is not always an option to run. We will teach
you.

Our self defence classes
in London are
designed for the everyday person. Lasting 1 hour, our classes cover personal safety awareness in your daily
life as well as focusing on easy to remember and effective
physical self-defence techniques. You do not need to have any
martial arts experience, just a willingness to learn to
protect yourself.
Physical
combat may not come naturally to a lot of people, but self
defence is more about a state of mind than body strength. You
don't have to be an aggressive person, but it is important to
be aware of your surroundings, think ahead and avoid hazardous
situations.
The class
will offer many practical techniques that may work in any
number of different situations; whether it be an unwanted
grope on the tube or something more serious. The class will be
interactive, giving you the opportunity not only to try out
these techniques and gain confidence in using them, but to ask
questions along the way and even ask to be shown a solution to
a problem you may have faced. We also hope to have some
fun.
KB SELF
DEFENCE INSTRUCTORS
Kelly
Bunyan is KB Fitness Academy's Chief Instructor;
she has
been training in the Martial
Arts for 27+
years. Dalia Terret (pictured left below),
teaches most KB Self Defence Lessons. As an ex-Metropolitan
Police Officer and Police Officer Safety Instructor,
entering her 30th year of training in the Martial Arts, she
couldn't be more qualified.

Fiona Au, Debra Ross-Matthews, Jane
Hamilton, Jess Baker and Isabel Milner, Black Belts in
Kickboxing, also teach.
Between all of the instructors, they have
expert knowledge of Kickboxing, Boxing, Judo and Kung Fu.
They have been teaching Self
Defence classes for many years.
All
instructors hold licences for insurance
purposes, awarded to them by UMAI and WAKO, respected bodies
which have many representatives throughout the world. They
have the ability to motivate and boost confidence, at the
same time as being patient and committed to ensuring that
each and every one of their students is satisfied with their
progress.
LEARNING SELF
DEFENCE DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOUR SAFETY:
KB Self
Defence does not intend to lull you into a false sense of
security. Kelly & Dee clearly state: "nobody is
definitely able to defend themselves, even we do not know
that we are always safe. However, we believe it is better
to know something rather than nothing, to increase your
chance of being able to defend yourselves. Don't delay,
sign up!"
LAST RESORT:
Physical
intervention is a last resort to be used when you have no
other option but to defend yourself. Practising
the moves regularly over time is essential to try to ensure
they become second nature and will render them far more
effective in any real situation. So, once you finish your
class, keep on performing these moves on your own as part of
your regular, ongoing exercise regime.
